I’d say the ethics definitely seems like it sounds daunting, but it’s, if you’ve built it in then it it flows with it, as you said, it builds into a stronger research project itself. But when it comes to actually doing an ethics application, I believe flip being students, it’s a little bit different if you’re in a class where the teacher has requested an ethics or a certain course project versus if you’re doing it individually for a student or a community member or faculty member, would you be able to elaborate a little bit on when that is, I guess a requirement for someone to take on an application. Yeah. When you, when you are in a classroom and your professor or your faculty, the faculty member said, this is what we’re doing. I want you to do in the project and please interview three people or whatever. Then asks the question, your research question of three people in your household or something, Let’s say those are classroom projects and yes, your faculty member has run that approach, that classroom projects, that whole idea of what they hope to get through in that class. That has been a classroom application to the REB. So the faculty member that’s teaching that course sends into the REB an application and says My students are going to be doing a wide variety of things, which is great. So the REB looks at that and says, okay, we understand what your what your pedagogy is. We understand what you’re trying to teach them. We understand what the projects will be, varied and they will be, but they’ll be in this realm now I’ll social working capital. So the faculty member gets approved to run the classroom project. So basically the REB is empowering your faculty member to make sure that their students are going out and doing the research in all the, still with all the same ideologies, the same ethical responsibility, the same integrity. But it’s just that comes from your faculty member and that direction and the questions you may have come from your faculty member. They’re empowered to let the students go out and do all that stuff. Now it becomes different when you, let’s say you’re a master student or you’ve got a UREAP. At tier III, we have UREAPs Undergraduate Research Experience Awards, or you’re doing an honors projects or something along those lines, very individual, very much your own outside of a class or whatever, then that would be considered your own research project and you would need your own individual REB approval with your faculty supervisor as part of your application. So that’s kind of where the difference there would come.
